add back the color and maintain the visual two-three tone color by applying these tints with a dabbing cloth.
If your leather can be scratched or it gets dark when adding a few drops of water, it is probably aniline leather for the use of tints.

this works extremely well, and you need to have patience.
|

choose or intermix tints and build up the color with continued applications while drying in between each.
|
|
|
add tint colors to "wipe out" so the color is not too dark or strong to start with.
|
|
|
as long as the color is not darker, success will follow.
|

specialty products to re-apply brown tint to aniline(porous) leather. includes 1 oz. each of lt., med. dk. browns, wipe out, soft cleaner, pump bottle, large and small sponge, three dab cloths, leather vital, creme protection matte

apply tints with dab cloths, dry with hair dryer, keep reapplying till desired color is reached.

soft cleaner is the cleaner to start with for general leather cleaning. ok for all leather types.

for the removal of oil (usually from hair and skin) from leather. aerosol product containing solvents.

If leather has a milky film or a haze look to it, spew remover is the only product that removes the surface fats and prevents its reappearance.
